STAR Tech is an initiative to support the elderly in using technology in their daily lives to build new social connections and engage with their community. The program is open to Redlands residents including the Southern Moreton Bay Islands, aged 65 or over or aged 50 or over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Numbers are limited. Each participant will receive a tablet computer and a Google Home Mini. Program fee is $79. Participants must have access to WiFi internet connection at home. Terms and conditions apply.

Workshops will be held at various dates in February, March and May 2020 at Russell Island and Macleay Island. Participants will also receive training via phone, video calls and home visits.
